Terms & Conditions

Last updated July 29, 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and any preservation services you order from Save the Bouquet ("Save the Bouquet," "we," "us"). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or order services. Questions first? Call (304) 995-9471, we're happy to explain anything before you commit. Your use of the site is also subject to our Privacy Policy, including Your Privacy Choices.

2. Custom, Handmade Work

Every keepsake is commissioned, handmade work created from your flowers. Designs are finalized with you during a design consultation. Because natural materials vary, finished pieces may differ from photographs, mockups, and previous work, including differences in flower color, shape, placement, and the natural mellowing of preserved botanicals over time. Such variation is inherent to handmade preservation and is not a defect.

3. Your Flowers. Condition, Delivery & Risk

Flowers should reach the studio within five (5) days of your event (24-48 hours is ideal), shipped or dropped off following the care instructions we send with your order. Until your flowers are in our hands, they are in your care and at your risk, we are not responsible for flowers lost, delayed, frozen, crushed, or spoiled in transit to us. We cannot guarantee preservation results for flowers that arrive molded, frozen, or severely damaged; if flowers arrive in poor condition we will contact you to discuss options before proceeding. Once flowers are accepted into the studio, we exercise professional care, but you acknowledge that preservation of fragile natural material carries inherent risk and that no specific aesthetic outcome can be guaranteed.

4. Timelines Are Estimates

Preservation is slow by design: resin cures for roughly 2–3 months, and finished pieces are typically delivered within 4–6 months of receiving your flowers. These are good-faith estimates, not guarantees, timelines vary with season, order volume, and the complexity of your piece, and rushing cure times would compromise your keepsake. Delay within a reasonable range is not grounds for cancellation or refund.

5. Payment, Cancellations & Refunds

Orders are confirmed on payment. Because work is custom and materials are committed early, cancellations and refunds are handled per our Refund Policy. In general: once preservation work has begun, materials and labor already invested are non-refundable; before work begins, we will always look for a fair solution. Quotes are valid as stated in your consultation and may change if the scope of your piece changes.

6. Shipping of Finished Pieces & Damage Claims

Finished keepsakes are packed professionally and shipped fully insured per our Shipping Policy. Risk of loss passes to the carrier on dispatch and claims for transit damage are made against carrier insurance. You must inspect your delivery on arrival and report transit damage to us within 48 hours, with photos of the packaging and piece, so a claim can be filed. We will always help you through a claim and, where a claim is paid, repair or remake the piece to the extent your preserved materials allow.

7. Caring for Your Keepsake

Preserved botanicals and resin require reasonable care: keep pieces out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from high heat, and clean only as described in our care guide. Damage caused by sunlight, heat, chemicals, misuse, or accident after delivery is not covered. Natural color mellowing over the years is normal and excluded from any claim.

8. Photography & Portfolio Use

We may photograph commissioned pieces and use those photographs in our portfolio, website, and marketing, without identifying you beyond a first name unless you consent. If you prefer your piece never be shown, tell us in writing before delivery and we will honor it.

9. Intellectual Property

All site content, text, photography, designs, the Save the Bouquet wax-seal marks, and the keepsake designs themselves, is the property of Save the Bouquet or its licensors and may not be copied, scraped, or reproduced without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial viewing.

10. Website Disclaimer

The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Content (including prices and timelines) may change without notice; the figures confirmed in your consultation and order control over anything on this site.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for sentimental value, which we deeply respect but cannot insure; and (b) our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from an order or this site shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the order giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Save the Bouquet and its owner and staff from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the site or services.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us and give us thirty (30) days to resolve the issue informally, small-studio problems are almost always solvable with a phone call. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Berkeley County, West Virginia, and each party waives any objection to that venue. You agree that any claim must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to it, and only in your individual capacity - not as part of a class action.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance. Orders are governed by the Terms in effect when the order was placed.
